About Tasniya
Tasniya is a dedicated advocate for mindful parenting and a passionate educator. Tasniya' s story is one of unwavering commitment to empowering families through education and fostering a culture of empathy and growth with an anchor rooted in her love for God and service to the community. With a Bachelors degree in Commerce from the University of Virginia, Tasniya embarked on her professional journey in teaching, discovering her true calling as she immersed herself in several Sunday schools and founded youth groups tailored to Muslim children and their families. This initial foray into education ignited her passion and set her on a path of lifelong learning and service. In 2015, Tasniya deepened her expertise by earning her Masters degree in Elementary Montessori Education, marking the beginning of her impactful career as she guided upper elementary children in local Montessori schools.
Driven by a relentless pursuit of excellence, she expanded her horizons further in 2020, obtaining a second Montessori certification in Primary Montessori, and assuming the role of a lead Primary Montessori teacher in a local Montessori school. The turning point came in 2023 when Tasniya embraced homeschooling for her own son, recognizing the unique opportunity to tailor education to individual needs. Fueled by her belief in the power of personalized learning experiences, she opened a part-time homeschooling pod in her home, extending her expertise to support other homeschooling families in the Maryland area in order to foster a curated learning experience in their educational journey. Tasniya's commitment to holistic child development extends beyond the classroom walls. As a certified Positive Discipline Parent Educator and coach, she empowers parents with invaluable tools and insights, facilitating transformative workshops both online and in person. Her love for God serves as the foundation for her approach to everything in life. Her teaching philosophy is rooted in compassion and mindfulness, fostering stronger bonds within families and nurturing a generation of empathetic, resilient individuals.
Therefore, this led her to open up her LLC called Fountain of Barakah in May 2024. The word 'Barakah' in Arabic means blessings in Arabic and she intends her organization to have numerous spouts of blessings flowing from the fountain as a way to serve the community. Through her work, she envisions to build a global village of like minded parents so that children are nurtured and supported in a holistic and compassionate ways by being able to attach and connect with their parents in dignified ways. Tasniya's journey is a testament to the transformative power of faith and education in nurturing flourishing families. Through her business and personal relationships, she seeks opportunities to bring families together as they embark on a journey of learning, empowerment, and connection, thus shaping a brighter future for generations to come.
